How Your Dinner Can Make Or Break The Diet?
Dinner is one of the most important meal of the day for everyone, not only nutritionally but also for social and emotional interaction amongst the family members. Dinners have a significant role to play as far as the nutritional aspect is concerned. It has been seen that eating early dinners (before 8:00 PM) facilitates weight loss. Research evidence revealed that persons who follow the 11-hour window for consuming their dinner and sleep for 7 hours each night were having low BMI as compared to those who did not follow the same pattern. Also, eating dinner together with the family ensures that everyone is taking healthy and nutritious foods. As far as, the social and emotional aspect is concerned, it has been seen, families who regularly dine together, their kids are less likely to become overweight or obese. Incidences of substance abuse among adolescents of such families are also less.
Skipping dinner may seem like an easy way to cut calories but will decrease your blood sugar levels tend to overeat and consume more calories than required. If consuming a large high-fat high carbohydrate meal at night, it overloads your digestive system and doesn’t get adequate sleep through the night and cause metabolic rate to slow down, which makes it harder to lose weight.
Dinner is an important meal which should not be skipped and it should be light as compared to the other meals such as breakfast or lunch. Skipping this meal can also cause severe hunger, severe acidity, nausea, blackouts and disturbed sleep.
In conclusion, it has been proven that consuming a healthy diet is better than not eating enough or skipping meals. If you are trying to lose weight, skipping a meal is not a good idea. You should eat small, frequent and regular meals and healthy snacks to make you full, get your metabolism going and keep you energized every day.
