3. Fiber-rich foods:

Constipation is a common symptom of hypothyroidism, and eating fiber-rich foods like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains can help alleviate this symptom.

4. Selenium-rich foods:

Selenium is a mineral that plays an important role in thyroid function. Foods that are high in selenium include Brazil nuts, tuna, sardines, eggs, and chicken.

2. Cruciferous vegetables:

Vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, kale, and Brussels sprouts contain compounds called goitrogens, which can interfere with thyroid hormone production.

3. Gluten:

People with hypothyroidism are more likely to have celiac disease or gluten intolerance, and avoiding gluten may improve thyroid function.

4. Processed foods:

Processed foods like fast food, frozen meals, and packaged snacks are often high in unhealthy fats, sodium, and calories.

5. Sugary foods:

People with hypothyroidism are at an increased risk of developing type 2 diabetes, and consuming sugary foods can exacerbate this risk.
