Honey, The Liquid Gold For Your Health
Honey, also known as Liquid Gold is the treasure chest of many hidden nutritional and medicinal properties. This sweet golden liquid is made by bee’s using the nectar from the flowers. Honey is sweet and good for health but it can be poisonous for infants as the bacteria Clostridium botulinum bacteria may contaminate with honey which may cause infant botulism and produce toxins inside the body of infants. It is advisable to give honey to kids who are of 2 years or above.

Nector from the flower in honey is loaded with lots of antioxidants which helps in preventing brain damage. Some studies say that taking a spoon full of honey daily helps postmenopausal women’s memory.

There are various ways in which honey helps in preventing and treating cold and coughs. It is, in fact, one of the main ingredients in the home remedies for preventing cold. Mixing Honey with a spoon of ginger juice/with Black Pepper/with Black Salt are some of the ways in which honey can be used.
