Pasta And Vegetable Sizzler

Serves: 4

Ingredients for Pasta And Vegetable Sizzler

  • ½ cup broccoli florets
  • ½ cup baby corn (sliced)
  • ½ cup red capsicum (sliced)
  • ½ cup yellow capsicum (cubes)
  • ½ cup boiled whole wheat pasta
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For Tomato Gravy

  • 4 ripe tomatoes (cut into big pieces)
  • 2-3 fresh basil leaves
  • A pinch of carom seeds (ajwain)
  • ¼ tsp chilly powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Little olive cooking oil

Method

For Tomato Gravy

  1. Cook the tomatoes in a pan on a slow flame without adding any water, blend to a smooth puree and strain.
  2. Add basil leaves, carom seeds, chilli powder and salt and simmer for 5-7 minutes on a low flame.
  3. Blanch the broccoli and baby corn in salted boiling water for few minutes, drain and keep aside.
  4. Heat little oil in a pan and sauté the vegetables for few minutes, add salt and pepper, keep aside.
  5. Now heat the sizzler plate on the gas until red hot and brush it with little oil.
  6. Arrange the vegetables and whole wheat pasta, heat the plate for few minutes.
  7. Pour tomato gravy over the pasta, serve hot.
