Ingredients for Pasta And Vegetable Sizzler
- ½ cup broccoli florets
- ½ cup baby corn (sliced)
- ½ cup red capsicum (sliced)
- ½ cup yellow capsicum (cubes)
- ½ cup boiled whole wheat pasta
- Salt and black pepper to taste
For Tomato Gravy
- 4 ripe tomatoes (cut into big pieces)
- 2-3 fresh basil leaves
- A pinch of carom seeds (ajwain)
- ¼ tsp chilly powder
- Salt to taste
- Little olive cooking oil
Method
For Tomato Gravy
- Cook the tomatoes in a pan on a slow flame without adding any water, blend to a smooth puree and strain.
- Add basil leaves, carom seeds, chilli powder and salt and simmer for 5-7 minutes on a low flame.
- Blanch the broccoli and baby corn in salted boiling water for few minutes, drain and keep aside.
- Heat little oil in a pan and sauté the vegetables for few minutes, add salt and pepper, keep aside.
- Now heat the sizzler plate on the gas until red hot and brush it with little oil.
- Arrange the vegetables and whole wheat pasta, heat the plate for few minutes.
- Pour tomato gravy over the pasta, serve hot.
